Decrease Classroom Size: Set a maximum student limit for class sizes at all levels. This will compel districts to increase the number of student-facing teachers on campuses.

  • Protect the Right to Privacy: Ensure state and local government entities do not infringe on anyone’s right to medical privacy, including:
    • Ensuring equal access to contraceptives & reproductive care, in vitro fertilization, HIV prevention medication, transgender affirming care, and the right to an abortion.
  • Protect the Right to Fair Medical Care: Every Texan has the right to high-quality mental and physical care covered by reasonable insurance prices. To accomplish this, Nick supports:
    • Expanding Medicaid: Enrolling Texas in the federally funded Medicare expansion.
    • Creating TexCare: Transition all state employees onto a single-payer health care option, which any Texas citizen can enroll in.

Creating Community Health Offices: Setting aside funds to establish departments of Mental Health & Social Work to partner with local Fire, Emergency, and Police departments to radically address pervasive issues of addiction and mental health.
